Useful Arts is a concept which grew from my love for antiques; needlework in particular. It began with my stitching of samplers, which led to an appreciation of the needlework these sometimes very young girls exhibited as well as their dedication to perfecting their skills. I have often felt a connection with the girls and women who created such beautiful and delicate works of art which have lasted hundreds of years.

While this site grows, please enjoy some photos of needlework, antiques and trips to the United Kingdom in pursuit of my passion.
